Helicopter from Latvia to Kazakhstan   As one of the main service provides to the Oil & Gas Industry, Globalink is routinely called on to provide quality service that customers have come to expect.    Globalink Almaty, Kazakhstan was asked to handle the shipment of a helicopter for one of the oil field operators in Kazakhstan. Needed for aerial inspections of the pipelines which are numerous and stretch for miles on end, the helicopter was required urgently so that inspections could be carried out on a much more regular basis (aerial inspections being more cost effective time-wise). Globalink arranged for the pick up of the helicopter in Riga and after having the rotor blades dismantled and packed appropriately, arranged for the airfreight to Amsterdam. At Amsterdam, one of the airfreight Hubs that Globalink operates from, our team was in ready and waiting to ensure a smooth transition from one flight to the other for the final journey to Almaty. At Almaty, Globalink’s Road Transport employees, already in place, completed the customs formalities at record speed and loaded the helicopter onto the waiting truck (from Globalink’s own fleet) for the journey to our customers location.
