Starring Globalink While Globalink Logistics Group will not be appearing in any onscreen roles, our Road Transport Division certainly deserves an award for their stellar performance.   When Star Cinema Management (Sun Cinema in Kazakhstan), which specializes in building movie theaters and leisure centers, decided to open a new multiplex cinema in the newly developed Mega Center in Almaty it was no surprise that they chose Globalink. Being avid movie goers ourselves, we were delighted to assist.  Timing was certainly a major and crucial factor as the delivery of all equipment for the new cinema halls, including chairs, had to be delivered to Almaty on the given date in order for the grand opening of the multiplex cinema to go ahead as scheduled. With the enormous amount of media and advertising coverage surrounding this opening, you can well imagine the drastic results that any delay would have caused.   However, like in the movies, we were there to save the day and delivered all the equipment to Almaty (origin points being in Europe) well in advance of the deadline. Using trucks from our own fleet, we were able to have full control over the entire transportation process, and through our track and trace system we were able to monitor same on a regular basis. As the trucks approached the destination, our Customs Department already alerted by the Road Transport Team, began the pre clearance procedures which resulted in all goods being cleared in a very short time span.   Further expansion by Star Cinema is planned for Astana, Kyzyl-Orda and Shymkent and we look forward to playing our role there as well.
